Join Co Labs for a weekend of hands-on workshops designed to support artists at every stage of their journey from writing lyrics and shaping harmony, to building an online presence and finishing songs with purpose.

 

Across two days, industry practitioners and artists share practical tools, creative approaches, and real-world insight into the many ways a creative life can take shape.

Social Media Management: How to Use Storytelling to Build a Real Community

How to develop a clear tone of voice, write strong bios, and create content and a content strategy that feels aligned and intentional.

 

3:30–6:30pm — Jim Wood (aka Royce Wood Junior)

Lyric Writing Cheat Sheet

An interactive workshop exploring what makes a great lyric, finding techniques to break creative blocks and ingraining processes to write more vivid, original song lyrics.

Basics of Harmony & Structure: Theory & Application

What’s a major chord? A minor chord? How do we link them together to make a song? What’s a cadence?! If you’re wondering what the answers to any of these questions, this workshop is for you.

 

3:30am–4:30pm — Sara Fawcett

What is Music Therapy?

Music Therapy is the specialized use of music to restore, maintain and improve cognitive, emotional, social, and physiological function. (AMTA)

Highlighting the key principles of therapeutic interventions through conversation and practical example we will explore what Music Therapy actually is and why it's so useful.

Creating a Song from Start to Finish

A practical, step-by-step workshop guiding you through the entire songwriting and production  process – from first spark of an idea to a fully finished release ready song.
